Governing Board

The Maritime|253 Governing Board is made up of the superintendent or designee from each of the program’s nine member districts: Chief Leschi Schools, Clover Park School District, Franklin Pierce School District, Fife Public Schools, Orting School District, Sumner Bonney Lake School District, Tacoma Public Schools, University Place School District and Vashon Island School District.As member districts, each guarantees seats for its students and plays an active role in guiding Maritime|253. Together, board members help shape program offerings, industry partnerships, and the long term vision of the skills center, ensuring students across the South Sound have access to hands on learning aligned with maritime, technology, port operations, logistics, sustainability, and advanced manufacturing careers.
